The four Centura Health Adventist hospitals in the Denver-metro area have launched a new International Medical Mission program: Avista Adventist Hospital, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Parker Adventist Hospital and Porter Adventist Hospital.

Projects for this new initiative are found in Nepal, Peru, and Rwanda, and will generally involve one of more of the following activities:

  • Primary Health Education - Basic health education within a village or local community setting.

  • Community Health - Clinical services that include various screenings and patient consultations.

  • Acute Care - Assistance to hospitals with specific acute care needs, including the mobilization of surgical teams.

  • Continuing Education - Clinical procedures within the context of training local professionals.

The projects selected will be in partnership with existing health care facilities located in developing countries around the world. In addition, partnerships will be developed with non-government organizations (NGOs) and government agencies whenever possible.

Provision of equipment, materials, and supplies, as well as limited construction projects, may be included in the scope of the projects.

For more information please Greg Hodgson at 303-661-4138 or greghodgson@centura.org.
