Q: I already work at a Centura Health facility through an agency, why should I join the Centura Health Regional Pool? A: As an associate of Centura Health you will be a part of a non-profit faith based organization. Our goal is to become a world-class healthcare system in Colorado and the nation. As an associate, you will have a Centura email address and will receive communication from all over the system. You will be a preferred nurse provider and be offered work schedules prior to our call for an agency nurse. Regional Pool nurses will be the first confirmed and last canceled at our facilities. While agency nurses will be the first to have work schedules canceled. Q: If I currently work for an agency at a Centura facility, can I continue there with my agency but work for the Regional Pool at other Centura facilities? A: No. If you work with the Regional Pool, you will not be permitted to work at any Centura facilities through an agency. You can, however, stay with your agency and continue to work at non-Centura hospitals. Q: I am already a full time employee of Centura and want to work the Regional Pool as well. Can I do both? A: As a Centura employee you can only work in one area. If you chose to leave your current position to join the Pool, you are not allowed to go back to that facility for six months. Q: I work for a Centura float pool now. Can I stay at my current facility and work the Regional Pool? A: No. You have to choose one or the other. If you decide to leave your current float pool to come to the Regional Pool, you will not be allowed to return to that facility for six months. Q: Do I have to float to all 12 hospitals? Q: Does Centura Regional Pool pay for my CEUs? Q: Do I build tenure with Centura and am I eligible for the 403(b) retirement savings plan? Q: If I currently work at a Centura facility and am going to convert to the Regional Pool, do I have to go through orientation and employee health again? Q: Will you be offering referral bonuses? Q: Do I have to work weekends and holidays? A: Yes, you are required to work one weekend shift per month and either one (1) holiday and one high demand shift or a combination that equals two (2) per year. Q: Do I get to schedule when I want to work? A: Yes, you have the flexibility to schedule the shifts that you would like to work, however facility census drive the need and availability of shifts you can work. Q: How much will I be paid? A: You will be compensated according to your skill and units that you work. Compensation is competitive with agency pay. The Regional Pool will also pay you night and weekend differentials.
