Facts and Figures - Centura Health
Centura Service Center
Gary Campbell — President and CEO
Centura Health is the largest health care network in Colorado formed in 1996 by sponsors Catholic Health Initiatives and Adventist Health System. Centura Health’s mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ by caring for those who are ill and by nurturing the health of the people in our communities. Our mission calls us to both care for the ill and improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.
For more than 120 years, the entities that comprise Centura Health have helped people live healthier, longer lives. Our system encompasses 12 hospitals, seven senior living communities and home care including hospice, home medical equipment and oxygen services.
Each year, more than half a million people turn to Centura Health to deliver their babies, receive emergency care, obtain life-saving surgery, be treated in their homes, enjoy shelter during their senior years, and accept comfort and care during their final days.
As a nonprofit, faith-based organization, Centura Health invests every dollar we earn into furthering our mission. Centura provides expert compassionate care throughout the state, from Boulder County and the mountain communities, to Metro Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Canon City, and surrounding rural communities. We are Colorado’s fourth largest private employer with more than 13,000 associates.
In the fiscal year ended June 30, 2009, Centura Health:
- Provided $57 million in charity care
