As a recent grad, what positions may I apply for?
New grad RNs are welcome to apply online for any full-time position requiring less than one year of experience. Often the job requisition will indicate “new grads welcome.” Careful evaluation of actual job posting details lets applicants understand the experience level and skills required to perform the job duties. For critical care areas, it is important to have completed your senior capstone in the designated specialty area to be considered for that opportunity. When and how do I apply?
We suggest that you apply for New Grad RN Positions once you have taken and passed the NCLEX. All of our applications must be filled out electronically through Centura Health careers site.
What do we look for in new graduate RN applicants?
When you fill out an application on our website, we require that you attach a resume and a cover letter. In the resume, please include information on your senior practicum, your degree, any certifications that you hold, prior health care experience, and if you have any other work experience outside of health care.
What if my qualifications don’t apply to any open positions?

What if I don’t receive a response to my application?
We will carefully review all resumes and ensure each applicant receives equal consideration. Should you receive a response letter indicating that we have selected another candidate, please do not be discouraged. You are always welcome to apply for more than one position as other opportunities will arise. You are also able to check the status of your online application by logging into your Centura Health online account.
How often are new graduates hired?
We hire New Grad RNs throughout the year.
When are the New Grad Residency Programs offered and what are the application deadlines?
Our ASCENT Program (Centura Health’s RN Residency Program) is typically offered 2-3 times a year depending upon the location, and it is not a position that you need to apply for separately. Your hiring manager will register you for the ASCENT program upon hire and it is additional training that you will receive along with unit orientation. Visit the Centura Heath Careers website often for more information on upcoming program dates. The recruiter representing your location of choice will also offer you current information on program start dates.
What happens should I receive an offer of employment at Centura Health?
If selected for a position, a Centura Health recruiter will contact you with a contingent offer based on successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical. It generally takes about a week to complete the background process (depending on whether or not you live outside of Colorado or are a local resident).
