Chair, Avista Adventist Hospital Foundation
Jill Kenney is a C-level executive, attorney, and certified mediator, with significant leadership experience in sales, marketing, corporate strategy, human resources, and general management. She has led organizations with as many as 5800 persons at Xerox Corporation and organizations as small as a start-up company with 24 employees.
Much of her career has centered around the health care marketplace. As an entrepreneur, Jill co-founded TIMBERLINE Solutions Group™. Along with her TIMBERLINE partners, she co-authored and published two books: “Undeniably: The Best Guide to the Affordable Care Act for Business” and “Take Aim: The Predictive Analytics Solution for Project Estimating.” She also consulted for “Connect for Health Colorado,” the Colorado health care exchange, to advise entrepreneurs and small businesses on the Affordable Care Act.
Jill holds an MBA from Emory University, a JD from the University of Colorado, and a BS in Communications from the University of Tennessee. She recently worked as SVP of Sales at Avizia, a telemedicine start-up. She also serves as part-time EVP for Ventanas Travel. Jill spent many years at Xerox Corporation, culminating as a SVP for the eastern half of the US. She was the Chief Marketing Officer, EVP, and head of corporate strategy at StorageTek; Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales at SpectraLink, a Boulder-based company; and Operations Director at Cisco Systems.
Jill emphasizes the importance of giving back and lending a hand up through her community involvement. She has participated on several boards including CASA for Boulder County as Board President, Foothills United Way, the GZ Sobol Parkinson’s Foundation, Women’s Vision Foundation, and Calmante HOA Board President. She volunteered at the American Red Cross during Hurricane Katrina. Jill was appointed to the Avista Hospital Foundation in 2018 where she recently became Chairperson.
Chief Executive Officer, Avista Adventist Hospital
Isaac is a mission inspired executive with more than 13 years’ experience in health care leadership; serving most recently as the vice president of operations at AdventHealth Kissimmee, FL. In this role, Isaac led several multi-million-dollar expansion projects and is credited with significant growth in operational efficiency, finance and patient volume. However, it is his commitment to those he serves that’s front and center.
“I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of our communities,” stated Isaac. “Under my leadership, Avista will be front and center to assist and provide solutions for the needs of our community as well as continue to provide hope and healing to those we service inside and outside our walls.”

Todd Berry, Vice President of Howell Construction, graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering. During his 30 years in the industry, he has worked his way up through a variety of operations and managerial positions. In addition to being a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional and a Certified Healthcare Constructor, Todd also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
Howell is a mid-sized general contractor specializing in healthcare, corporate interiors, advanced industry and general commercial construction. Todd provides leadership as Project Principal and Preconstruction Manager and supports business development and market sector leadership in Howell’s existing Healthcare sector. Todd focuses his energy on understanding his clients’ needs to ensure their vision comes to life. His knowledge of the construction process combined with his understanding of complex construction challenges makes him an asset to any team environment. His leadership style embraces engagement and active involvement in every project to ensure continuity across the entire team. Todd has focused mainly on healthcare construction throughout his career and has extensive experience in both large and small-scale healthcare projects.
Todd is a past Board President for Platte River Industries, a non-profit that served the developmentally disabled community. He is also a past Board Member At-Large for Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods where he focused on the production of the annual People’s Fair in Downtown Denver. The two-day People’s Fair typically saw 250,000 visitors and provided funding for numerous community non-profit organizations.
Todd currently resides in Denver with his wife, Pam, and their two daughters. They enjoy entertaining and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid traveler and is constantly planning his next overseas adventure.
Laura J. Hicks
Director of Imaging, Avista Adventist Hospital
Laura Hicks joined Avista as the Director of Imaging in 2011 after nine years at Porter Adventist Hospital. Laura has held positions as the Service Line Director for Oncology at Porter and Kettering Medical Center, the Service Line Director for Ophthalmology at Porter, and Imaging Director at other facilities. Laura is passionate about program design and development, having established numerous successful service lines and new programs. Of special interest to her is Avista’s further expansion of its excellent services to women and its desire to become a destination center for women’s health.
Laura has a Masters in Health Care Administration (MHA) from Loma Linda University and a BS in Biology from Pacific Union College. Laura is also a board member of the Brighton Adventist Academy and the Avista Foundation. She is married and enjoys spending her free time traveling, scuba diving and getting away to the mountains.
Heather Kemp brings over 20 years of nonprofit and foundation experience to the Avista Hospital Foundation.
She spent 10 years volunteering for the Park Nicollet Foundation in Minneapolis, while also sitting on the board of the YMCA and volunteering for the Pinky Swear Foundation. She then moved to Ann Arbor, where she worked as the marketing director for the nonprofit Silver Maples and helped plan the University of Michigan organ transplant department’s annual fundraiser. She has also served as the development director of Blue Sky Bridge in Boulder and is a past committee chair for the Boy Scout Troop 62 in Erie.
Heather currently lives with her husband and three children in Erie and works as a realtor with MileHiModern in Boulder.
Scott Kuehn, Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Treanor|H+L, a design firm providing services in architecture, planning, interior design, historic preservation, civil engineering and landscape architecture. The firm currently employs over 150 professionals and support staff in 8 offices located in Denver, Colorado Springs, Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, St. Louis, Dallas and Atlanta.
Scott has over 34 years of experience in all phases of the business of architecture and is a leader in the industry and his community. His leadership style embraces collaboration and communication and strives to make a meaningful difference for both his firm and the firm’s clients. Scott is passionate about design and how design will ultimately meet the goals set forth thru insightful client collaboration. He has been involved in many significant projects including the recently completed Saint Joseph’s Hospital for SCL Health. His project experience includes work in healthcare, education and advanced industry markets, Scott is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and is past Chair of the AIA Practice Management Advisory Group and AIA/AGC Joint Committee.
Scott has been a Denver resident since 1982, arriving looking for sunshine and snow after graduating from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Scott raised two boys that also reside and work in the Denver area. In his free time he now enjoys golf, mountain and road biking, traveling, concerts and cooking.
