Program details & highlights

During year one, our core program begins with Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency. While moving onto years two and three, the program is extended to Alamosa Family Medical Center, an FQHC, and program participation in San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center, a rural hospital.

Clinic with integrated behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, coumadin, and PT.

Connected care

Primary care and specialty clinics with direct access onto the hospital campus.

Flexibility

Longitudinal curriculum allowing you to work along all specialties for two years.

Nearby education

Adams State University in town offers graduate courses.

Housing stipend

Housing stipend of $36,000 over three years to offset having to move.

Procedural training

Training for multiple procedures to include gynecology, biopsies, cyst/lipoma removal, ultrasound and colonoscopies.
