GHI’s Couplet Care program has saved the lives of mothers and babies in countries around the world and their success has been driven by the passion of Rose Danaher. Her 25 years with Centura Health have had immeasurable impact. Centura’s commitment to Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) and Helping Mothers Survive (HBS) grew from Rose’s recognition that the life-saving principles these trainings provide were desperately needed in Centura’s GHI partner community in Peru’s Amazon. Developing the program here led to a foundation that has translated to three more countries — Nepal, Tanzania, and Uganda. Her inspiring leadership in the Couplet Care program has allowed it to continue growing, teaching local providers how to save the lives of mothers and babies, impacting many generations to come.
