Leanne Naso serves dual roles, both as Avista’s interim Chief Executive Officer, as well as the Chief Operations Officer at sister facility Parker Adventist Hospital. At both location she maintains oversite of organizational growth as well as day-to-day operations. Leanne has been in the Adventist Health System for 20 years and her passion for serving our community by meeting their health care needs continues to drive her every day.
Beginning as director of physician services, she was instrumental in successfully opening Parker Adventist Hospital in 2004. Over the years, she has fostered growth and innovation by developing and growing numerous service lines. She has played a pivotal role in the recruitment of countless physicians of various specialties who lead the charge in providing compassionate and personalized care to our community.
Prior to joining Parker Adventist Hospital, Leanne was with Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, Texas where she held various roles during her seven years of service. Her background includes extensive training in managed care contracting, negotiating, management, physician relations, and credentialing. Leanne was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Southwest Texas University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Carol Travis joined Avista as its Chief Financial Officer in 2018. In her role, Carol provides leadership and oversight of hospital operations, financial performance, and stewardship. She has been with Centura Health for more than 15 years serving in various finance leadership roles. Prior to her work in health care, Carol worked in the assurance and advisory business services division of Ernst & Young, LLP in Denver, CO. Carol is a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado and a graduate of Colorado State University.
Lief Sorensen, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Sorensen joined Avista Adventist Hospital - Centura Health, as Chief Medical Officer in February of 2019. Known for his mission-driven leader style, Dr. Sorensen has worked with Centura Health since 2009 - most recently as a regional specialty medical director with Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG), as well as the medical director for Centura's physician well-being initiative.
Dr. Sorensen earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University, Calif., in 2004. He is double board certified in both Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine. He is a member of numerous professional and community committees and is affiliated with the American Academy of Pain Medicine and Spinal Intervention Society.
