Chief Executive Officer
Todd Folkenberg has been with Centura Health since 2005 and the CEO for Castle Rock Adventist Hospital since opening the doors in 2013. Prior to Castle Rock he served as Porter Adventist Hospitals Chief Operating Officer from 2009-2012 and worked at St. Anthony Central Hospital as VP of Operations and Chief Business Officer. His early Centura Health career included working in corporate revenue management division.
Prior to Centura Health, Todd worked in various business development and operations improvement roles at Duke University Medical Center. He also co-founded a consulting firm focusing on physician performance and strategic alignment of hospital-employed physician practices.
He graduated from Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Long-Term Health Care and Business Administration. He then went on to obtain his Master's in Health Services Administration from George Washington University.
Todd lives in Castle Rock with his wife and two children. He enjoys all that Colorado offers including mountain biking, boating, hiking and spending time with family.
Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer
Jeremy Pittman has worked for Centura Health since 2005 and served as CFO for Castle Rock Adventist Hospital since the hospital opened in 2013. Prior to his employment as CFO at Castle Rock, he worked as the Controller (or head accountant) for all four Adventist hospitals in the Denver metro area. He also put his stamp on Littleton Adventist Hospital where he served as Director of Finance and business manager for Surgical Services.
Jeremy lives in Castle Rock with his wife and two children, and has seen firsthand the impact the hospital has on the greater Castle Rock and Douglas County community. "Small communities like ours don't always have the benefit of full-service medical care but we're lucky to work with the residents of Castle Rock who have been incredibly supportive of the hospital and our services."
Jeremy was born and raised in Colorado, where he attended Mile High Academy. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and his Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado. He enjoys visiting his family cabin in Grand Lake, snowmobiling, hiking, dirt biking, and all kinds of mountain fun.
Director of Business Development
Lisa Hinton joined Castle Rock Adventist Hospital in November 2015 as Director of Business Development. Prior coming to CRAH, Lisa worked for HealthSouth corporation for 15 years in California and Colorado as Director of Business Development/Marketing Operations and Director of Therapy Operations. Lisa holds a Masters of Speech Language Pathology from University of Nebraska - Lincoln and a Bachelor’s Degree from North Dakota. She lives in Castle Rock and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is the mother of two young children.
Chief Nursing Officer
Carol Pontius, RN, MSN, CENP serves as the Chief Nursing Officer for Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. Carol received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Kent State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University Akron. Carol has over 35 years of experience in nursing in Hematology, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Emergency, Critical Care, Ambulatory Care, Orthopedics, Intensive Care, Telemetry, Professional Development and more. Carol comes to us most recently from Kaiser Permanente where she served as the Chief Nurse Executive. While at Kaiser, Carol focused on coordinating quality patient-centered care and met with all nursing staff throughout the organization to generate the nursing strategic plan.
Andrew French, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Andrew French joined Centura Health in 2018, serving as Chief Medical Office (CMO) for Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. Before joining Centura Health, he practiced Emergency Medicine at Denver Health for 12 years, including his residency training and serving as the Medical Staff Director.
Dr. French received a bachelor’s degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, before completing medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He belongs to the American College of Emergency Physicians and he is an expert consultant for the Colorado Medical Board.
He was chosen as one of the 2017 Denver Business Journal’s 40 under 40, and is a crucial conversations facilitator. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, skiing, watching movies, working out and reading. He also volunteers his time to Greenhouse Scholars and Access Opportunity, two Colorado non-profit education organizations that serve low-income children.
