As a leading provider of women’s health care in the Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch and surrounding communities, RidgeGate OBGYN provides compassionate obstetrics care in a faith-based environment. Simply put, we care about our patients and take their health, experiences, and wishes to heart
The entire staff of team members at RidgeGate OBGYN is committed to providing exceptional obstetrics care in an educational setting that results in healthy outcomes for moms and babies. Whether you’re visiting us for your first pregnancy or have experienced pregnancy and delivery before, RidgeGate’s obstetrics doctors develop a partnership with you to understand your health care needs, your lifestyle, and your preferences for medical care. Before we begin treating you, we listen. And we continue listening throughout your life.
At your first prenatal visit, you’ll meet with one of RidgeGate OBGYN’s nurse practitioners. For an hour, you’ll have the opportunity to ask all your questions and receive the latest education and resources from our qualified staff. You’ll learn what to expect during this exciting time in your life and how we’ll be there to help each step of the way.
After your initial visit, you’ll begin seeing our obstetricians and get to know each one of them. At every visit, we will answer your questions, address concerns, and help create a birth plan that combines your wishes and our doctors’ medical expertise.
For your convenience, we offer onsite ultrasound, as well as other in-office testing, such as first trimester screenings, non-stress tests, free fetal DNA and genetic counseling.
After you get to know each of our OB doctors, you may choose one obstetrics doctor to serve as the primary contact for your pre- and postnatal care. Alternatively, you may continue to see all of our obstetrics doctors until you deliver. Either way, you can expect a familiar, trusted doctor at your delivery.
Choosing RidgeGate OBGYN for your obstetrics needs means you’ll benefit from the combined breadth and depth of experience our doctors share. Our obstetricians specialize in pre-and postnatal care for normal and high-risk pregnancy, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
Ideally, we would like to be your doctor and partner as you begin thinking about getting pregnant. Through pre-pregnancy consultations, we will work with you to ensure you begin your pregnancy as healthy as possible. Today, many women with chronic diseases who once could not get pregnant now have the opportunity—but understanding your health and controlling chronic conditions prior to getting pregnant is paramount.
We work with women with chronic conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety or other mood disorders, and autoimmune diseases. We also help women starting a family later in life begin pregnancy healthy and fit.
And new studies show that controlling chronic diseases prior to pregnancy not only helps mom and baby during pregnancy but it can make getting pregnant easier, too!
Whether you are at high-risk or you’re entering your pregnancy with no worries, we work with you throughout your pregnancy to ensure that any problems are caught and treated as early as possible. Conditions that can occur (but rarely do) in any pregnancy that require treatment include gestational diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia, and thyroid disorders.
And as you get closer to your delivery date, we will discuss your birth plan and what is right for you and your baby. We then coordinate with Castle Rock Adventist Hospital’s BirthPlace team to ensure that everyone is on the same page; and one of our physicians will be present during your labor and birth.
We’d love to meet you; call for an appointment today! Call our Castle Rock office at 720-709-2317 and our Lone Tree office at 303-795-3110.
Every stage in a woman’s life requires the health care expertise and guidance of a qualified gynecologist. During menopause, a time of natural transition when your body prepares for the permanent end of menstruation and fertility, some women may experience unpleasant symptoms, such as hot flashes, fatigue, irritability, urinary incontinence, or trouble sleeping. Each woman’s experience is unique and the severity of menopause symptoms varies.
Treatments for Menopause Symptoms
Treatments for menopause symptoms vary greatly and can involve lifestyle modifications, home remedies, medications, or hormonal supplements. While hormone replacement therapy is a safe and effective treatment in selected patients, it may not be right for everyone. Our doctors offer many other choices that provide relief for your symptoms, so you can get on with enjoying your life.
Our doctors at RidgeGate OBGYN will meet with you to understand your unique health history, symptoms, and lifestyle goals. We will then discuss your options with you, including the benefits and risks of each alternative, and develop a customized treatment plan.
And our support doesn’t end there. As menopause is a transition, your body and symptoms will change over time—sometimes rapidly and sometimes over months or a few years. During this time, we will continue to monitor your health and symptoms and work with you to adapt your treatment as needed. Our goal is to help you thrive during this time.
Stress urinary incontinence is the unintentional loss of urine when the bladder is under the stress of additional pressure. This added pressure can come from everyday activities such as running, coughing, sneezing or heavy lifting. Stress urinary incontinence is not the result of psychological stress, but it can be stressful to experience it if it affects your daily life. If you’re experiencing stress urinary incontinence, the doctors at RidgeGate OBGYN can help.
Relief from Stress Urinary Incontinence Symptoms
If you have symptoms of stress urinary incontinence or involuntary urine leakage, talk to your doctor about the best option for you. Treatment is effective in more than 80 percent of patients, and most patients wish they had reached out for help sooner. RidgeGate OBGYN offers specific assistance with:
- Lifestyle modification. Making changes in your life may help with stress urinary incontinence and involuntary leaking. Treating a chronic cough or regularly performing pelvic floor exercises, called Kegel’s exercises, can often provide relief from symptoms.
- Physical Therapy. Specifically designed exercises can be used to strengthen the pelvic floor and stop involuntary urinary leaking. The Castle Rock Adventist Center for Rehabilitation, located in the same building as our Castle Rock office, offers a specialized women’s rehabilitation program to help relieve the symptoms of stress incontinence.
- Sling placement. If lifestyle modifications are not working, RidgeGate OBGYN offers expertise is surgical options including slings that support the bladder to stop involuntary urine leakage. This procedure entails surgically inserting a sling-type mechanism to support pelvic floor muscles. Various types of slings are available, which we will discuss with you and make recommendations based on your unique situation and body.
- Surgical bladder lift. Similar to slings, this is a surgical procedure that may be used if lifestyle modifications do not resolve your urinary incontinence.
