  • Conditions We Treat

The Breast Care Center at Porter, specializes in breast cancer treatment and compassionate care for our patients. While breast cancer treatment is our primary focus, the Porter Breast Center is also a leading provider of care for benign breast diseases and lymphedema.

    Breast Cancer

Our team of expert physicians, nurses and other cancer specialists are skilled and experienced in the treatment of all types of breast cancer including early stage, metastatic and inflammatory breast forms of the disease.

    Benign Breast Disease

The Porter Breast Center also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of noncancerous breast conditions such as irregular lumps, cysts, and breast discomfort. Many of these conditions can be attributed to hormone fluctuations and include fibroadenomas, nipple discharge, infection, cysts, fat necrosis, sclerosing adenosis, intraductal papilloma and hyperplasia.

When lymph vessels and nodes are damaged or removed, patients may experience increased swelling of fibrotic tissue that makes them more susceptible to infection.  To combat this condition, the Porter Breast Center provides Complete Decongestive Therapy to help patients recover from lymphedema.
