About the Fertility Care Clinic

The Fertility Care Clinic at St. Catherine Hospital is opening the door to fertility care options with innovative, moral solutions to infertility that are not typically available through mainstream medical practices. The clinic specializes in fertility care services that allow Catholic medical centers to work in collaboration with their Archdioceses to offer a fertility care program that follows the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

The Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ and NaPro Technology can be used to achieve or avoid pregnancy, as well offer treatment for conditions like menstrual cramps, premenstrual syndrome, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian disease, ovarian cysts, irregular or abnormal bleeding, repetitive miscarriage, postpartum depression, prematurity prevention, hormonal abnormalities, chronic discharges, and other health problems. These technologies are offered at the clinic and administered by a professional who is specially trained and certified by the American Academy of Fertility Care Professionals.

The Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ and the women's health science of NaPro Technology have been developed through a research and education effort coordinated and directed by Thomas W, Hilgers, MD, director of Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction and clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Creighton University Medical Center.

The Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ (CrMS) provides comprehensive, professional services through individualized follow-up, standardized teaching tools and ongoing research. The Creighton Model is a medically standardized modification of the Billings Ovulation Method. It is the only education program in this field that meets the education demands of a newly emerging allied health profession and provides a case management approach to teaching.

NaProTechnology focuses on finding the cause of infertility based on techniques used in the CrMS to teach women how to look for and record biomarkers to manage gynecological health. It is embraced by the Catholic Church as a highly effective and morally acceptable approach to infertility.
