2012 Walk of Dreams Gala to Benefit Operation Walk Denver
The gala will benefit Operation Walk Denvers global mission to provide knee and hip replacements for those suffering from debilitating bone and joint conditions and who do not have access to orthopedic care. The money raised at the event will help transport a team of expert physicians, nurses, physical therapists and surgical technologists as well as provide equipment, supplies and medication needed to complete 50 to 70 joint replacement surgeries during weeklong mission trips around the world.
Last years event raised enough money to fund two mission trips to Guatemala and Panama. This year, Operation Walk Denver is hoping to match or exceed that donation amount in order to complete another two mission trips.
The 2012 Walk of Dreams Gala starts at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center at 650 15th St. in Denver.
