85th Anniversary Celebration

(GARDEN CITY, KAS.) St. Catherine Hospital will celebrate a grand milestone with festivities next week. 85 years ago, the hospital was named after St. Catherine of Siena, a woman who lived in the 14th century and ministered to the sick of Siena, Italy. She also was one of the great saints of the Dominican Order, according to the archives of the Dominican Sisters in Great Bend.

The public is invited to events throughout the week including a hot dog feed and cancer screening presented by the Leave a Legacy Foundation. Other events include:

Tuesday, September 13th
First Responder Breakfast by invite only in classrooms 1 & 2 from 7:00 - 8:30 am.

Wednesday, September 14th
Welcome all new physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners at a reception held in their honor from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at Samys Spirits and Steakhouse, Garden Terrace. Spirits and Hors d'oeuvres will be available.

Thursday September 15th
Mass with the Bishop, John B. Brungardt at 10:00 am in the hospital cafeteria.

Health screenings, events and more on the SCH front lawn from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
