The Beck Diet Solution Workshop
(GARDEN CITY, KAS.) Join St. Catherine Hospital Wellness Coordinators on a journey through the Beck Diet Solution. The Beck Diet Solution is a program designed to change the way you think, ultimately ending the weight-loss/regain cycle. This comprehensive, step-by-step psychological approach to healthy eating is aimed at teaching participants how to transform sabotaging thoughts into helpful ones.
This program is not a food plan, but instead teaches participants a set of cognitive and behavioral skills that pairs with any nutrition plan. Designed to show you how to make the kind of positive, long-term thinking and behavioral changes necessary to lose weight and maintain your weight loss, as the program teaches you how to avoid unplanned snacking or over-eating, resist tempting foods, cope with hunger, cravings, stress and negative emotions without turning to food and to motivate yourself to exercise.
The 6 week plan for the Beck Diet Solution classes will begin with orientation and registration held at St. Catherine Hospital on Tuesday, August 11th at 5:00 pm and Wednesday, August 12th at noon in classroom B. Weekly classes are approximately 30 minutes and run August 12th through October 8th with a variety of class times available on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and 12-1 pm on Thursdays. Registration is $25 to cover the cost of materials.
All participants will receive a copy of the book, "The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person," to keep once the course is over. For more information on this program, please contact Beth Koksal, CHES, at 620-272-2530.
