Centura Health and Colorado Health Neighborhoods Bolster Quality Health Care Services

January 10, 2016

(ENGLEWOOD, COLO.)Centura Health, the regions leading health care system, today announced that it has welcomed Colorado Mountain Medical (CMM) into Colorado Health Neighborhoods (CHN) the Centura Health physician-led network of more than 3,400 providers across Colorado.

CMM and Centura Health have enjoyed a longstanding relationship, with collaborative work in local ski clinics beginning in 2004. The new partnership brings to CHN a team of 30 primary care physicians, specialists and other practitioners who offer family health care that emphasizes wellness and preventive medicine, as well as treatment of illness or injury with urgent care services, in Vail, Edwards and Eagle clinics. The CHN network now has 1,062 physicians and practitioners serving the mountain region.

Colorado Mountain Medical is pleased to join CHN as it brings new opportunities to our patients and their families, said Brooks F. Bock, MD, FACEP, chief executive officer, Colorado Mountain Medical Group.

On behalf of CHN, I would like to applaud the progress that CMM and the Mountains & North Denver Operating Group of Centura Health have made in coming together to optimize health care value for the citizens of Eagle County and the surrounding mountain communities, said Kit K. Brekhus, MD, executive physician director, CHN. We look forward to collaborating with CMM to keep care local when possible while offering access to additional expertise and technological advances through the CHN network when necessary.

Centura Health continues to innovate and bring health solutions to mountain communities to meet individual health needs, while offering increased access to care. In November 2015, High Country Healthcare joined Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG), one of the largest multi-specialty physician group in the region. Additionally, Centura Health is making a substantial investment in a new 24/7 emergency and urgent care center as well as a medical space building that will open in the Buck Creek Medical Plaza in Avon in July 2016. Centura Health has served Summit County for 37 years and will build upon that legacy to optimize health value and meet population health needs for consumers living in Colorados mountain communities.
