Centura Health Selects Huntonbrady Architects To Design Phase One Of Castle Rock Medical Campus
Centura Health is Slated to Bring Specialized Expertise, Quality Health Care to Castle Rock Community by 2011
Delivering advanced care to more than half a million people each year, Centura Health partnered with the Castle Rock community to bring accessible, specialized health care to its residents.
The first of the two-phase development will include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building and 20,000-square-foot emergency room and imaging center.
Since 2000, the population in Castle Rock, Colo. has had a population growth of 96.21 percent, from more than 20,000 people to more than 46,000 residents today.
Castle Rock residents will soon have direct access to programs and services in the Centura Health network, recognized nationally for its treatment of cancer and stroke, along with the most extensive network of health care anywhere in Colorado.
Centura Health will begin the Construction Manager Selection Process with an issuance of a Construction Manager request for proposal (RFP) in March 2010.
The Construction Manager Selection Process is expected to last approximately 30 days upon issuing the RFP, in conjunction with the selection of a Steering Committee and the completion of a conceptual design.
Preconstruction will begin immediately thereafter the establishment of the schematic design documents.
Modern Healthcare named HuntonBrady Architects one of the top 30 healthcare design architects in the nation in 2009.
As the largest health care network in Colorado, Centura Health includes 12 hospitals, seven senior living communities, medical clinics, Flight For Life Colorado, and home care and hospice services.
HuntonBrady has a great deal of experience in the health care field and are known for patient-centered designs that provide a healing environment," said Brian Moore, administrator of the Castle Rock project. We look forward to working with them and designing Castle Rocks state-of-the-art medical campus."
This project is exciting and unique in the sense that Centura Health is looking to design, build and grow a facility tailor-made for the residents of Castle Rock," said Chuck Cole, AIA, ACHA, president of HuntonBrady Architects. Its prime location is an added value. The building design will take on a mountain modern style and will take advantage of majestic mountain views to optimize the healing environment for patients and staff."
