Free Community Program - Getting Through the Holidays When a Loved One Has Died
Hospice Chaplain John Grummon and GBHH&H Social Worker Cathy Soeken will present the program. Grummon and Soeken also co-facilitate the Hospice Grief Support Group.
Traditionally, Grummon said, the holiday season is a time of family togetherness and joy. Yet, if someone in your life has recently died, the holidays are among the most difficult times.
This workshop is designed to offer ideas on how to cope with grief during this joyful, yet often painful time of the year, Soeken added.
Pre-registration is not required. For more information about this program, please contact Grummon or Soeken at GBHH&H by calling 792-8171.
GBHH&H, which is part of the St. Rose family, has been serving the community since 1979. Its service area is Barton, Pawnee, Rush and part of Stafford counties.
St. Roses umbrella organization is Centura Health, which connects individuals and families across western Kansas and Colorado with more than 6,000 physicians, 15 hospitals, seven senior-living communities, physician practices and clinics, and home-care and hospice services.
