Inaugural High Country Hike for Hospice to Benefit Local Hospice Care

The inspirational 3-mile loop will provide the hikers with a panoramic view of the majestic Ten Mile Range and Lake Dillon. Thought provoking quotes along the path will encourage reflection, healing and growth.

Check-in for the hike starts at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 15 at the Nordic Center Lodge in Frisco and participants can begin hiking immediately after check-in. The High Country Hike for Hospice is a pet-friendly event and leashed, tail wagging dogs are welcome to join.

All funds raised from High Country Hike for Hospice go towards supporting charity care and hospice services not reimbursed by the Medicare Hospice Benefit including spiritual care, bereavement services and volunteer coordination. Bristlecone Health Services is a non-profit, fully licensed organization that relies heavily on the support of the Summit County community.

For an additional $20 donation, hikers can purchase a seedling in memory of loved ones to be planted in 2011 through the Legacy Forest campaign. All proceeds from the campaign benefits hospice and home healthcare programs with Bristlecone Health Services and also helps renews our Summit County Forests.
