Jin Shin Jyutsu Explained at Free St. Rose ITV Presentation

June 15, 2013

Paugoulatos will lead an Interactive Television (ITV) presentation at St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 26. The free event is open to the public in the basement-level St. Dominic Room at St. Rose.

The gentle art of Jin Shin Jyutsu uses the breath to bring us fully into the present moment, Paugoulatos explained. In this place of be-ing you dont need to strive or exert any effort. By focusing on the breath, we can become calm, peaceful and centered.

Each exhale helps you release what you no longer need, and each inhale helps you rejuvenate and purify every cell in your body, she continued. Jin Shin Jyutsu allows us to balance and harmonize the body, mind and spirit by releasing stagnant energy that has accumulated in the body.

This is achieved by simply holding different areas of the body. It can be as easy as holding a finger to melt away the tension and restore the flow of energy throughout the body, Paugoulatos explained.

Medical research is proving that Jin Shin Jyutsu is a valuable complement to conventional healing methods, Paugoulatos commented, noting it can induce relaxation and reduce side effects from medical treatment.

Participants can reduce stress, pain, anxiety, tremors and nausea, she said. Many people experience increased energy, reduced pain and stress, along with a deep sense of relaxation. I encourage the local community to learn more about this gentle art.
