Local Hospitals Listed in U.S.News Best Hospitals Metro Area Rankings
Three Centura Health Hospitals Among Denver's Best Hospitals
Porter Adventist Hospital is ranked 7th, including four of the high-performing specialties; Littleton Adventist Hospital is ranked in 10th place, along with two other hospitals, with two of the high-performing specialties, and St. Anthony Central Hospital is ranked 13th, along with one other hospital, with one high-performing specialty.
U.S.News ranked hospitals within 52 U.S. metro areas that have populations of 1 million or more, using 2010-2011 data. The new rankings identify hospitals that performed nearly as well as the nationally ranked Best Hospitals in at least one of 16 adult specialties.
The new rankings add 490 high-performing hospitals to the 132 nationally ranked Best Hospitals in the metro areas. The rankings will be updated again in July at the same time the 2011-2012 national Best Hospitals rankings are posted online.
