New Flight For Life Colorado license plate helps raise funds for critical care transport

flight for lift colorado license plate Available through the Colorado Department of Revenue Division of Motor Vehicles, cost of the group special plate includes a $25 donation to St. Anthony Health Foundation and a mandatory $50 Division of Motor Vehicles fee.

Flight For Life Colorado provides critical care transport with five helicopters (operating within a 120-mile radius of six Colorado operations bases), three ambulances and three airplanes. Equipped with the industry's most current technology and experienced, knowledgeable team, Flight For Life Colorado transports patients across several states in the Rocky Mountain Region and assists search and rescue agencies with specialized services including aerial search support and an Avalanche Deployment Program.

Since its first lift-off in 1972, Flight For Life Colorado has transported 110,000 seriously ill or injured patients to medical care, and a patients ability to pay or insurance status has never been questioned.

Scott Phillips holding flight for lift license platesThe Flight For Life license plate program went into effect, January 1, 2013, with the first plate purchased by Scott Phillips, St. Anthony Hospital department director of PreHospital Services. Phillips said, This is a great way to support a program I have spent a lot of time with!

To date, 58 Flight For Life Colorado license plates have been sold.

Flight For Life Colorado Director Kathy Mayer said, Were thrilled to see how quickly the license plate program has taken off! Its fun to spot a Flight For Life license plate, as I drive down the highway; and we are truly grateful for all the community support.

The license plate program will bring awareness to the life-saving efforts of this tremendous program across the entire state of Colorado, said St. Anthony Health Foundation Chief Development Officer Leslie Strate.
