Penrose-St. Francis partners with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - Penrose-St. Francis Health Services has partnered with Ragain Sports to be the Official Hospital Partner of the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

In 2013, United Soccer Leagues Pro division awarded Ragain Sports an expansion franchise for Colorado Springs. The team was recently named the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and earlier this week announced that Steve Trittschuh is the new head coach. The team will use this year to develop the program, make upgrades to their playing venue -- Sand Creek Stadium -- and then play a full season in 2015.

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is dedicated to improving the health of the people in our community, said Margaret Sabin, president and CEO of Penrose-St. Francis. Partnering with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks allows us the opportunity to reach a group of people in ways that we were not able to do before. Were looking forward to helping kids and their parents get excited about soccer, which in turn could result in them leading a more active lifestyle.
