St. Anthony North Hospital brings state-of-the-art image guidance to its Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Services
The Discovery includes a high-tech digital image guidance, advanced applications, 3D image fusion technology and a sophisticated mechanism to travel on pre-defined paths with laser-like precision. We are truly reinventing the way we work with high-precision imaging. The first surgery using the new technology took place just last week.
Some of the key benefits include: removal of contamination sources by having a suspension-free design, ability to perform rotational angiography with reduced interference of tubing or cables, easily accommodates larger patients, and gives the ability to provide improved sight for guidance procedures such as catheter placement and structural heart procedures.
Carole Peet, CEO of St. Anthony North Hospital, states "We need to be positioned for the future when it comes to meeting the needs of our patients and our physicians. This new technology offers a much more efficient way of taking care of complex surgical cases in the areas of cardiology, interventional radiology, cancer, and neurology. We are thrilled to have this important advancement here at St. Anthony North Hospital. Our patients deserve the very best care."
