St. Catherine Hospital Becomes Training Site
(GARDEN CITY, KAS.)The Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training (ICPT) is very pleased to recognize St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas, an entity of Centura Health, as a nationally accredited stand-alone training site for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). CPE is a unique interfaith experience in professional and theological training for persons seeking growth and competency in clinical pastoral practice. In CPE, participants learn, through the action-reflection model, to provide pastoral services through the supervised practice of clinical ministry to persons in crisis or seeking spiritual support.
CPE provides practical education and skills that will result in increased confidence and competency in supporting persons dealing with crisis, trauma, death and dying, suicide, and other issues. St. Catherine Hospitals training environment demonstrates both excellence and innovation in the training of chaplains. ICPT sees St. Catherines core values and mission as a natural fit and look forward to many years of joint service.
If you are interested in the CPE program, please contact Doug Williams at 620-272-2512.###
