St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center to Host Zumbathon
(PUEBLO, COLO.) The Dorcy Cancer Center at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center will host its first ever “Zumbathon” in an effort to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen® Race For The Cure fundraiser to be held later this year. The event will take place on Saturday, July 22 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the atrium (ground level) of the Dorcy Cancer Center, 2004 Lake Ave.
For $10, individuals may enter the Zumbathon. Participants are encouraged to move as much as possible during the duration of the event, and can take advantage of prize drawings and giveaways including baskets, clothing and gift cards by purchasing tickets during the event. Leaders include several favorite instructors from the Pueblo Zumba community, all with the personal mission of raising at least $500 during this event to help cure cancer.
“We invite everyone to join in on this fun and impactful event as we partner with community members to ensure that we’re helping nurture the health of those in our community,” said Brenda Galassini, oncology program manager, St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center. “The battle to fight cancer never stops and through interactive activities like this, we can get involved in helping to stop cancer in its tracks.”
