Women's Clinic Interim Location
(GARDEN CITY, KAS.) As previously released, the Womens Clinic sustained considerable damage during yesterdays storm, causing its roof to collapse. City safety officials and the Fire Marshal have sealed the building until a point in time they feel it will be safe to enter. No definite timeframe has been established.
Given the extent of the structural and water related damage, officials estimate the building to be down for a minimum of nine-twelve months.
The Womens Clinic is not seeing patients today and tomorrow, but administration is hopeful to open on Wednesday in the newly renovated FastTrack area near the north entrance of the hospital. In turn, Infusion Services is being relocated to the Surgery Center for this interim period. This adjustment will maintain operations and allow the Womens Clinic to resume care immediately, and for enough time to select and equip an alternate, temporary location which will be used until the existing Womens Clinic is renovated, or a new Womens Clinic is established.
The clinics number of 620-275-9752 is transferred to another location and will be answered tomorrow, May 2ndbeginning at 8:30 am. Stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter for timely updates.
Due to heavy snow, the roof of the Womens Clinic, located at 115 N. Main Street, has partially collapsed, forcing the clinic to close for an undetermined amount of time. Administration is actively working on securing an alternate location to hold clinic until repairs can be made to the building. Staff should report to Siena Administration for their regular scheduled shift tomorrow, May 2nd. Patients are being notified and media will be alerted as more information develops. Stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter for timely updates.
