Better serving our associates

Scholarships are open to any Penrose and St. Francis associate pursuing a degree or certification in a medical/clinical field at an accredited school – there is no prior medical experience required.

To date, scholarships have been awarded to associates that collectively represent 89 years of service at Penrose-St. Francis. One associate, who has worked at the hospital for 30 years, was in the inaugural ICU training class. Many applicants are seeking certificates or degrees in Radiology Technologist, Associate in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy, Master of Nursing, Master of Nursing Education, Master of Science: Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health and Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner. A key requirement of our PSF Scholarship program is the associate must commit to working at PSF for two years, full time, following their graduation. The foundation receives several applications for consideration during each enrollment period and the field for scholarships is competitive.

The foundation is hopeful that, with donor support, each applicant will be able to receive a scholarship. The Penrose-St. Francis Scholarships allows the Foundation an opportunity to fulfill its commitment to better serve our associates of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and enabling them to provide the highest quality of care.
