About David Bierbrauer, MD

Dr. David Bierbrauer is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with his primary interest in hand and elbow surgery. He attended medical school at the Chicago Medical School and did his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville, KY.---Dr. Bierbrauer is proud to be a member of Cornerstone Orthopedics. He believes in providing timely and excellent care to the active population here in Colorado and promoting overall health and fitness.

Dr. Bierbrauer met his wife, Kimberly, while in Chicago. They have a busy household with three boys. He is an avid skier and grew up ski racing. He is now a triple threat on the ski slopes where he alpine skis, telemark skis, and snowboards. He is also a US Ski Team physician for which he has traveled internationally to France and Canada. He made a bee line to Colorado after graduating in order to take advantage of the great skiing and outdoor activities. He also is an accomplished runner. He has qualified for the Boston Marathon at the Chicago Marathon in 2014, and has completed the Pikes Peak Marathon four times.
