About Dayne Nelson, MD

Dayne Nelson, MD, strives to form strong relationships with his patients using clear communication, patient advocacy and doctor accessibility. His goal is to build trusting and compassionate relationships with patients while providing advanced and skilled urological surgery and care. Dr. Nelson’s understanding of the relationship between a surgeon and patient is that they work together to accomplish a desired goal. He believes his principle roll is to provide the patient with accurate information about their diagnosis, which includes defining options.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, his medical doctorate at the Uniformed Services University and completed his residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and was awarded the prestigious “Young Urologist of the Year” award by the American Urological Association. He has been the director of three different robotics programs.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children while hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing and attending sporting and performance arts events and concerts. He is an avid fan of all things Fighting Irish.

Ratings

Ratings are calculated via patient surveys collected from the Medical Practice survey from Press Ganey using the Mean score for each of the four questions shown below. Star scores are determined by dividing the mean score by 20 so a 100% Mean score divided into 5ths results in a 5 star rating.
