About Elizabeth Piantanida, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Piantanida is the founder and director of Skin MD Dermatology and Skin Enhancement Center. She grew up in San Diego, CA and received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego. She obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine with academic honors, leading to her election to the AOA Medical Honor Society. She later completed her Dermatology residency training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center/National Naval Medical Center in the Washington DC area. Dr. Piantanida is Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She serves as adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology through Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences School of Medicine. Her areas of expertise include general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her experience includes medical directorship at The Skin Enhancement Center of Pinehurst Dermatology, NC. She has 14 years of experience with Botox, injectable fillers and numerous skin laser systems. When not working, Dr. Piantanida enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and spending time with her husband and three sons.
