About James Barad, MD

Dr. Barad is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical eye care. He enjoys interacting with patients of all ages and is committed to the development of a strong doctor-patient relationship. He is a great listener and very effective communicator. The amount of time he spends with each patient is based on individual need rather than a rigid schedule. His clinical practice includes routine examinations, medical and surgical treatment of eyelid disorders, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. Dr. Barad is an experienced surgeon who has performed thousands of surgical procedures. Dr. Barad is married and has 5 children. He is an active member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and serves as a volunteer ophthalmologist at Peak Vista Community Health Center. In his free time, he enjoys fine wood and metal working, amateur radio and electronics, engine building and repair, vegetable gardening, and vintage tractors. Dr. Barad is accepting new patients daily.
