About Karen Burnett, MD

Karen Burnett, MD, grew up in Reading, Massachusetts and has been practicing medicine since 1988 in some way, shape, or form.
She graduated from Keene State College, Keene, NH with a degree in sports medicine and practiced as an NATA certified Athletic Trainer. She then earned her Masters of Health Professions degree as well as her Physician Assistant Certificate at Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
In 1994, she moved to Colorado and practiced as a PA for 7 years. She then traveled to the small island of Saba University School of Medicine in Antilles (Caribbean), where she received her MD degree in 2004.
She did her residency at St. Anthony North hospital which provided a strong emphasis in pediatric care, prenatal care, high risk obstetrics, chronic disease management, and geriatrics.
Karen joined Partners in Health in 2007. She believes that she is a teacher: educating the patient so that together they can make the best decision for what is right for that person.
In her free time, she likes to run with her dog, Miles, sing, play pool, hike, ski, and read. She has been a lifetime Weight Watcher member since 1996 and has run marathons. Karen is board certified in Family Medicine.
