About Kaveh Kian, MD

Dr. Kian joined Colorado Kidney Care in 2006 after completing his training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. His main area of clinical practice is hemodialysis vascular access and he is the Medical Director of Colorado Kidney Care's Vascular Access program at the Colorado Renal Access and Imaging Center. He has performed over 10,000 hemodialysis access procedures to date and is actively involved in clinical research and education in this field including publication of scientific papers, book chapters and national presentations.
Dr. Kian was born in Tehran, Iran. He completed his schooling and medical education in London, England, and graduated from Guy's and St Thomas's medical school in 1996. He completed his medicine residency in England and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, London). He moved to the United States in 2000 to pursue his medical career. He is married, has three children and is a passionate soccer fan.
