About Michael Haas, MD

Dr. Michael G. Haas is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist, who has been in private practice since 2005. Dr. Haas has lived and worked in Colorado since 2008. He now owns Haas Vision Center, an ophthalmology clinic in Colorado Springs. He focuses on cataract surgery, but treats all other medical diseases of the eye. Dr. Haas strives to improve the vision of each patient, and he makes sure that they leave happy and healthier. Better vision equals better quality of life, and Dr. Haas treats each of his patients with empathy, making them feel comfortable and safe while under his care. Dr. Haas was on the Editorial Board for the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Comprehensive Ophthalmology section of the Ophthalmic News and Education (O.N.E.) network from 2009 - 2015. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, where he received a Bachelor of Science. Dr. Haas then completed medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2001. He completed an internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas (2001-2002), and an ophthalmology residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana for three years until 2005.
