About Rita Thieme, MD

Rita Thieme, MD, enjoys caring for infants and children of all ages and children with underlying illnesses. She has specialized training in pediatric kidney disease and has extensive experience as a pediatric emergency physician.

Dr. Thieme earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado, followed by her residency and fellowship training at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. She is board-certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, who attended the University of Minnesota. She also enjoys bicycle riding, cooking and gardening.
