About Rotem Elgavish, MD, PhD

Dr. Elgavish joined Colorado Neurodiagnostics in September 2014. He is providing patients with high quality, expert epilepsy care in the outpatient clinic as well as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Littleton Adventist Hospital. He has over six years' experience in a very busy epilepsy surgery program and he is currently working to develop an epilepsy surgical program at Littleton Adventist Hospital. Dr. Elgavish serves as the medical co-director of the Epilepsy Program at Littleton Adventist Hospital. Dr. Elgavish graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Electrical Engineering, then the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Medical Scientist Training Program with his medical degree and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2003. He completed EEG/Epilepsy fellowship, also at the UAB, in 2008. He was the recipient of multiple awards for his epilepsy research. During his academic career between 2008 and September 2014, Dr. Elgavish served as Director of the UAB Epilepsy Fellowship Program, Director of the Birmingham VA Epilepsy Program and Seizure Monitoring Unit, Associate Professor for the Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division, UAB, and Member of the American Epilepsy Society's Non-Epileptic Seizure Task Force and Faculty Member of the UAB Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.
