  • Cancer Center

St. Anthony Hospital has revolutionized cancer care in Denver and the Rocky Mountain region with the NovalisTX system with RapidArc®. This revolutionary cancer treatment technology marks a breakthrough in the battle against cancer, given its ability to deliver a precise tumor-destroying beam with unprecedented speed and precision in less than two minutes. The combined Novalix TX and RapidArc® offers individuals with lung, prostate, breast and other cancers new hope and greater comfort.

But technology isn't everything. Healing requires so much more. Donors to St. Anthony Health Foundation for Cancer Care make it possible for all patients to take advantage of support services throughout their treatment at the Cancer Center. These services are available to all patients to help them and their families cope with the health, stress and social issues surrounding cancer.

    Cancer Support Services Include:

    • Assessment for psychological and social issues to determine treatment needs
    • Counseling (individual and family) to help with anxiety, depression, hostility, addiction, and family-related issues

  • Flight For Life® Colorado

For 41 years, Flight for Life® Colorado has been dedicated to transporting any patient in need, regardless of the patient's ability to pay or insurance status. This nonprofit program now serves a nine-state region, and has transported more than 110,000 seriously ill and injured patients to the most appropriate hospital for medical care.  Each year, flight teams provide more than $4 million in charity and uncompensated care.

This would not be possible without the continuing, loyal support of thousands of Flight For Life® Colorado supporters. Your donation to Flight for Life Colorado will help keep this life-saving program flying for years to come.

As the first civilian hospital-based emergency medical helicopter service in the U.S., Flight For Life® began with a single helicopter, based on the roof of the old St. Anthony Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Today, its fleet of 5 helicopters, 3 fixed-wing airplanes and 3 Critical Care ground transport ambulances, transport patients to and from 7 bases across Colorado.

  • Forensic Nurse Examiner Program

FNE is a program that provides immediate and compassionate care for victims of sexual assault. In a safe and caring environment, FNE nurses (RNs who have specialized forensic training) provide immediate care for sexual assault victims and obtain forensic evidence for use by law enforcement agencies to prosecute alleged perpetrators.

FNE nurses also can testify in any legal proceedings related to the examination. They ensure the proper chain of custody and integrity of the samples is maintained so that the evidence will be admissible in court.

FNE nurses work closely with victim advocates, police, sheriffs, and the court. Together, these professionals strive to ensure that the response to a patient who has been sexually assaulted in their community is victim-centered and compassionate and ultimately may provide the potential for a successful criminal justice response.

  • Trauma Care & Injury Prevention

St. Anthony Hospital is designated as a Level I Trauma Center by the State of Colorado Department of Health, the highest level of definitive and comprehensive emergency and trauma care for patients with complex injuries. In addition, St. Anthony Hospital's Trauma Room 10 (T-10) is Colorado's first dedicated trauma-operating suite that enables seriously injured patients to go directly to surgery upon their arrival with EMS.

Maintaining T-10 and the trauma team of emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, critical care doctors, anesthesiologists, radiologists, nurses and CT techs, in-house, 24 hours-a-day and immediately available to the trauma patient, is a costly endeavor, and donors to St. Anthony Health Foundation for trauma care help make it possible. Injury Prevention - While St. Anthony Hospital is ready and equipped in the unfortunate event that an injury occurs, the first line of defense against traumatic injury is prevention. Donors support programs such as fall prevention for seniors and sports helmets for kids.
