Patient and caregivers at Centura Littleton Adventist Hospital received a visit from a special guest Monday, July 25, as Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson stopped by to say hello.
Wilson was at the hospital to announce a partnership with Centura to make a meaningful impact on the lives of many in our communities. Centura President & CEO Peter D. Banko announced the partnership with Russell and Ciara’s Why Not You Foundation to contribute $500,000 annually to local and regional non-profit organizations.
Following the announcement, Wilson visited with patients and families, including in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Wilson led families in prayer, shared words of encouragement, signed footballs and took photos.
He also greeted our caregivers to thank them for their hard work. Wilson’s mother was an ER nurse, and he expressed his gratefulness for health care workers.
