Gary Campbell is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in the health care field. Since July, 2008 he has served as president and CEO of Centura Health.
Prior to his present role, Campbell served as senior vice president, group executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives. In that role, Campbell was responsible for 27 hospitals across a five-state region.
Campbell is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is married to Barbara Campbell and they have a married daughter.
Jeff Brickman was named CEO of St. Anthony Hospital as well as president of Centura Health's Mountains North Denver Operating Group in 2011. Prior to joining St. Anthony Hospital and Centura Health, Mr. Brickman was the System Senior VP, Provena Health, & CEO, Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill.
Brickman began his career in health care management at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass., the state's third largest hospital and flagship medical center for Baystate Health in various leadership roles of increasing managerial responsibility, culminating in the position of senior vice president/chief operating officer. He earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a master's in business administration with an emphasis in health care administration from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and also serves on numerous other civic and professional groups. He and his wife, Elaine, a registered nurse, have three grown children.
Mr. Corbett is senior vice president of community health and values integration at Centura Health, a multi-state integrated health system and the region’s largest health care provider serving Colorado and western Kansas. He is a fellow at Harvard Medical School, Division of Medical Ethics.
Corbett was appointed a four year term to the National Institutes of Health’s National Advisory Council for Nursing Research by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
Over the course of his career, he has worked in four different health systems providing strategic and operational leadership for community health, behavioral health, ethics, spiritual care, diversity, mission and global health, and his expertise helped support health care reform in Massachusetts. In these roles, he established innovative programs such as the community health advocates and behavioral health navigators to improve health care outcomes and reduce health care costs.
He has lectured at Harvard in Clinical Bioethics Courses and at the University of New England and Maine Schools of Law and has been published in numerous books and journals. Corbett received his B.S. in International Relations from Syracuse University, a Juris Doctor from St. Johns University and a Master of Divinity from Duke University.
Kirk Dignum was named senior vice president of operations for Centura Health in 2013. In his role, he provides strategic vision and operational assistance to our rural hospitals in southwest Colorado and western Kansas. Prior to joining the senior leadership team, he served as president and
chief executive officer at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colorado.
Dignum is a seasoned health care executive with considerable management experience in the legal, medical and non-profit sector. He is a graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and holds a master’s in gerontology from the University of North Texas. In addition, he earned a
PhD from the University of California San Francisco/Berkeley, specializing in cross-cultural aspects of health care and gerontology.
Dignum is married to his wife Ginny and has two grown daughters, Megan and Kelsey.
Dan Enderson has been serving as Centura Health senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2011. Previously he served as the CFO and senior vice president of Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Texas, and the regional CFO for the Southwest Region of Adventist Health System, Inc., of Florida since July 2003. He has been with Adventist Health since 1992, where he has served as vice president of finance for the corporate office of Adventist Health System, Inc., and before that as the regional CFO for the Appalachian Region and Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, North Carolina.
Enderson received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and his master’s degree in business administration from Webster University in Orlando, Florida.
Morre Dean has been part of the Centura Health family since 2011 and was named president, South Denver Group and chief executive officer, Porter Adventist Hospital in March 2015. In addition to his chief executive officer responsibilities at Porter Adventist Hospital, Mr. Dean supports the ambulatory, acute and post-acute care strategies in South Denver and oversees the collaboration of the four South Denver Group hospitals (Castle Rock, Littleton, Parker and Porter Adventist Hospitals) to effectively share best practices and develop innovative health care solutions to optimize the value of health care.
Prior to this role, Mr. Dean served as the chief executive officer for Parker Adventist Hospital, where he oversaw completion of the $20.5 million Southlands Neighborhood Health Center in southeast Aurora and initiated master planning efforts, obtained capital approval and began construction on a $39 million phase one expansion of Parker Adventist Hospital.
Mr. Dean holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Union College in Lincoln, Neb. He also is a certified public accountant.
Russ Johnson is a seasoned health care executive with thirty years of successful senior leadership in hospitals and health systems in both the urban and rural setting. In his current role, Russ works collaboratively to identify new opportunities and further develop current and future Affiliate Hospital relationships across the region. His efforts lead the charge to design and enhance the services available in rural communities, while sharing the expertise and resources of Centura Health to keep health care local.
Prior to his present role, Russ served as the CEO for San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center for 12 years. In addition to developing the organization’s affiliation with Centura Health, Russ led SLVRMC’s integration with Conejos County Hospital while growing the region’s medical staff and services.
Russ is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received a bachelor’s degree in management and economics from University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Allen Kemp joined Centura Health Physician Group in 2012. Prior to that, he worked for Dean Health System for more than 27 years, first as a clinical anesthesiologist and then as physician administrator. Kemp also served on the board of directors of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) from 2000 to 2008 and served as chair in 2007. Kemp has been managing director of physician strategy at Navigant Consulting, a national consulting firm based in Chicago, where he has worked with key health care clients, addressing critical business issues and enhancing value. Previously, Kemp also served as executive vice president and chief medical officer at Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN. As the administrative lead of Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN's Advance Planning Group, he directed the delivery of the firm's management consulting services, where he created new consulting models, methodologies, products and services, and secured new consulting engagements.
Kemp completed an internship at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, New York, as well as a residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his master’s degree in business administration from Regis University.
Dana Moore has served Centura Health in various consulting engagements since 2001. In his current capacity, he is responsible for the overall development and implementation of IT strategy. In December 2008, Moore also assumed the role of managing director of Centura Health's service center which includes the supply chain, laboratory, regional float pool, system recruiting, central verification, and call center and business intelligence.
Moore has more than 20 years of experience in health care financial management. He founded and served as president of The Moore Consulting Group, LLC, a full-service health care consulting firm, from 1999-2005 and served as national director in charge of the revenue cycle practice for the Certus Corporation from 1997-1999. Moore holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.
Pam Nicholson is senior vice president for strategy at Centura Health. She provides executive oversight and thought leadership for the ongoing development, implementation and integration of Centura Health’s innovative strategic direction aimed at transforming the health care industry from a volume-based model to a value-based model and better aligning its products, services and capabilities to deliver a more personalized, end-to-end consumer experience that optimizes health care value across Colorado and Kansas.
With more than 25 years of health care experience, Pam has a broad range of experience collaborating with providers, hospitals, strategic partners and payers, all focused on establishing the foundations for population health and outcomes-based reimbursement. She leads numerous efforts across the system designed to manage populations including Second Curve Partners (SCP), a for-profit LLC established by Centura Health to acquire and develop the competencies needed to manage populations, and Colorado Health Neighborhoods, Centura Health’s physician-led network that is shifting the entire paradigm of traditional health care delivery to focus more on keeping populations healthy. In addition, she provides strategic leadership for Centura Health’s nationally recognized systems of care including cancer, trauma, heart and vascular, neurosciences and pediatrics.
Under her leadership and expertise in physician alignment, managed care operations, strategic partnerships, consumer engagement and health care product development, Centura Health is expanding its Total Health Solution to deliver optimal health care value across Colorado and Kansas communities. By strategically integrating consumer-focused initiatives in its health care delivery model throughout Colorado and Kansas, Centura Health will continue to meet population health needs, leading to improved health outcomes, increased service and convenience, and lower health care costs.
Pam has been appointed by more than one Colorado Governor to various health care commissions, including the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform. She was appointed to the Colorado Accountable Care Collaborative in 2012, and has served on the boards of the Colorado Rural Health Center, Health Access Pueblo, and two Centura Health hospitals. Pam is a member of the following organizations: American College of Healthcare Executives; Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development; Healthcare Financial Management Association; and is also a Bighorn Leadership Fellow.
Kris Ordelheide is responsible for managing and providing legal services and advice to Centura Health and its affiliated organizations. He has served as general counsel since 1996 and represented a variety of business and health care clients in private practice prior to joining Centura Health. The experience he brings to his role covers the broad scope of legal issues that arise in the health care and business setting, including governance, risk management, medical staff, patient care, employment, tax exemption, insurance, regulatory matters, real estate, and general business and commercial transactions.
Ordelheide received his bachelor’s degree from Walla Walla College and his juris doctor and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver.
Sharon H. Pappas has served as chief nursing officer of Porter Adventist Hospital, recently designated as a MagnetTM hospital, since 1998. She is responsible for managing all operations pertaining to the nursing staff including training and development, and safety and consumer care. In November of 2008 she was named chief nursing executive for the Centura Health system. In that role she provides executive leadership to CNOs for 15 hospitals, senior care and home care, and participates on the Senior Executive Council (SEC).
Pappas also served at St. Anthony Hospitals in Denver and the Emergency Center at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She has also been a faculty member and preceptor at Regis University and an assistant professor at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Nursing. Dr. Pappas holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the School of Nursing at University of Georgia Medical College and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Georgia College, School of Nursing. She received her PhD from University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing.
