Home Hospice

CommonSpirit Home Hospice Mercy offers in-home and residential hospice care designed to help patients comfortably reach their end of life goals. Members of the hospice team will visit a patients home to make sure they are comfortable and well cared for or patients can be cared for at the new Mercy Hospice House facility. You and your family will help plan the kind of care received and will play a vital role in communicating needs, concerns or questions to the members of the hospice team. We also offer residential hospice at Hospice House

Palliative Care

CommonSpirit Home Hospice Mercy offers palliative care services to patients in the hospital at Mercy Hospital, or wherever the patient calls home, which could be in their own residence, a nursing home or other residence.

Skilled Nursing Care 
Our registered nurses provide skilled care such as end of life care, wound care, medication monitoring, disease and nutrition education, and administration of I.V. medications.

Therapy
Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists provide rehabilitative exercise programs and teach appropriate use of medical equipment and safety measures, in addition to ensuring the home environment doesn't pose any hazards. Our therapists will help you regain your strength and range of motion so that you can return to your normal daily activities.

Personal Care Services
Certified Nursing Aides can provide intermittent assistance with personal care needs such as bathing.

Social Work
Medical social workers are available to connect you with community resources for additional help.

Spiritual Care
Non-denominational chaplains can visit with you to provide support and education to enhance your spirituality as you strengthen your body and soul.
