  • Who staffs the emergency and urgent care locations?

Care at an emergency and urgent care location is provided by Centura Health-affiliated Board Certified emergency physicians, emergency-trained nurses, radiologic technologists and other clinical specialists.

  • What types of services does Centura Health Emergency & Urgent Care provide?

Our Emergency & Urgent Care centers are able to treat all urgent and emergency medical conditions including, but not limited to chest pain, respiratory issues, head, sports and orthopedic injuries, abdominal pain, dehydration, and lacerations. Patients are seen in private exam rooms and every center has digital x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, EKG and lab on site.

  • Do all Emergency & Urgent Care locations accept all insurance plans?

Yes, Centura Health Emergency & Urgent Care accepts all major insurance plans. Most insurance plans include an urgent care/emergency room co-pay and/or co-insurance requirement for these types of visits. Consumers should review individual plan benefits to determine individual financial obligations and to confirm Centura facilities are in-network.

  • Are Centura Health emergency and urgent care locations licensed emergency rooms?

Our emergency and urgent care centers are licensed as Community Clinics and Emergency Centers and meet Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment licensure requirements. They are staffed by Centura Health-affiliated Board Certified emergency physicians, emergency-trained nurses, radiologic technologists and other clinical specialists.

  • Is an emergency and urgent care center different from an urgent care center?

Yes. Emergency and Urgent Care Centers are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by Centura Health-affiliated Board Certified emergency physicians, emergency-trained nurses, radiologic technologists and other clinical specialists and they provide consumers with emergency and urgent care services in the same facility. A typical urgent care is not equipped to treat emergency conditions and would have to send more acute conditions to a hospital emergency room.
