Josh Neff will lead the Fort Morgan hospital

Centura Health, the region’s health care leader, is pleased to announce Josh Neff will serve as the Chief Executive Officer for Colorado Plains Medical Center upon completion of the hospital acquisition from LifePoint Health, which is expected to be finalized later this year, pending standard regulatory review and approval.

On Feb. 1, Centura announced it signed an asset purchase agreement (APA) to acquire ownership interest in Colorado Plains Medical Center (CPMC) in Fort Morgan, Colo. from LifePoint Health.

“Not only does Josh bring an unmatched level of expertise to rural health care, he embraces the rural lifestyle and understands the importance of keeping medical care close to home,” said Tom Gessel, Group President for Centura’s Greater Colorado and Kansas Operating Group. “By joining our connected ecosystem of hospitals, the patients and caregivers at Colorado Plains Medical Center will gain a new level of medical excellence and leader who is personally commitment to compassionate, whole person care.”

Josh joined Centura in 2018 and currently serves as Vice President of Integration and Rural Health. In his role, Josh has successfully led a team of critical access hospital CEOs, and successfully implemented operational and turn-around plans to create long-term sustainability for Centura’s 16 Affiliate Hospitals.

“As a leader with more than 20 years in nonprofit, faith-based care, I am excited to partner with the caregivers at Colorado Plains Medical Center to ensure we are improving access to care and continuing to build upon the legacy of Fort Morgan’s health care pioneers,” said Josh. “Our roots at Centura are in rural health care and I am committed to addressing the unique health care needs of our community, while bringing expanded services in clinical care and patient experience to our patients and neighbors.”

Josh has held leadership roles with Porter Adventist Hospital and Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. He received a Master’s of Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Tarleton State University.
