November 3, 2022

Centura Mercy Hospital announced a partnership today with Durango Urgent Care to offer urgent care services at Purgatory Resort, with operations in effect mid-December. Through this new relationship, visitors to the resort and residents will have access to urgent care services including x-ray, fracture care, illness and injury, ensuring they receive the high-quality, whole person care they depend on.

“I believe in creating relationships that strengthen the medical care we provide our friends, family and community, and through this partnership with Durango Urgent Care and Purgatory Resort, we ensure every visitor to the resort has quick access to the care they need,” said Brandon Mencini, CEO of Centura Mercy Hospital. “Skiing is a part of our outdoor culture, and we want everyone to have a safe and successful season on the mountain.”

“We at Durango Urgent Care are pleased to offer our services to North La Plata and San Juan County. We recognized a need for quality and compassionate health care in that region,” said Bryan Vincent, CEO of Durango Urgent Care. “We appreciate the support from Centura and Purgatory Resort.”

Purgatory Resort has welcomed generations of skiers and snowboarders each season since 1965 and anticipates another banner year. Durango Urgent Care will be ready to meet the demand, staffing the clinic with qualified and trained providers and medical staff. The clinic will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

“We were thrilled to learn Mercy Hospital and Durango Urgent Care have joined forces to provide continuing urgent care services at the resort for our guests and residents of North La Plata County,” said Dave Rathbun, General Manager of Purgatory Resort. “The ability to offer guests, employees, homeowners and local residents a high-quality health care option in the North County is an important community service we are very pleased to support.”
