Truss Topping for the St. Francis Hospital Ingram Guest House

January 6, 2023

In partnership with HBA Cares and the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs, this facility will support the whole person health of our guests

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) Centura Health, the region’s health care leader, has reached an exciting construction milestone at the St. Francis Hospital Woody and Millie Ingram Guest House. A truss topping ceremony was held Friday, Jan. 6.

Located on the St. Francis Hospital campus, the guest house will create a space for rest and healing – serving the families of all patients, especially our NICU babies, patients undergoing cancer treatment, and those needing additional care.

“This beautiful home will serve as an oasis for patients and families at St. Francis and the cancer center at the hospital,” said Patrick Sharp, CEO of Penrose and St. Francis Hospitals. “We believe this house will provide a quiet place for rest and allow our patients to heal close to the compassionate care they are receiving at the hospital.”

Supported by Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation’s Guest House Ministry, and in partnership with HBA Cares and the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs, this 29,000-square-foot facility will support the whole person health of our guests through amenities such as private suites, home-cooked meals, a business center, playroom, and much more.

The guest house, which is expected to open in the fall of 2023, features 25 suites complete with private restrooms and stunning views of Pikes Peak.

“We appreciate the generosity of Jerry Bruni and Pamela Ingram Bruni for making this guest house a reality for families in their time of need,” said Jennifer Cooper, director of engagement, Greater Colorado & Kansas Centura Health.
