About Arvin Rao, MD

Dr. Rao is a Colorado native. After graduating from Cherry Creek High School in 1993, he attended Hanover College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with majors in both chemistry and philosophy. After undergraduate studies, he returned to Denver for medical training at the University of Colorado. Dr. Rao graduated from the School of Medicine with honors and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He served his final year as chief resident in otolaryngology and graduated in 2006 with multiple publications and presentations at national specialty meetings.Dr. Rao returned to Denver in 2006 to start his practice, specializing in the comprensensive medical & surgical care of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults. He serves as a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor at Rocky Vista University. His subspecialty interests include nose and sinus disease, allergy, voice, and swallowing disorders. Dr. Rao is married and lives in Denver with his wife, Dr. Suchitra Rao, and their two sons. His interests outside medicine include hiking, mountain biking, photography, coaching soccer, and scuba diving.
