About Ava Asher, MD

Ava Asher, MD, is a promoter of wellness, with a focus on the care of the individual. She works to normalize conditions that are often stigmatized, including substance use disorders, hepatitis C, and mental health issues while being inclusive of all patients regardless of gender identity, race, age, or other factors. Dr. Asher provides preventive care, chronic condition management, and care for acute illnesses and injuries.

Dr. Asher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on human physiology and chemistry. She went on to complete medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Her internship and residency were completed at the University of California Davis.

Dr. Asher volunteers extensively both in the United States and abroad. She has been a medical volunteer for Burning Man festival, California International Marathon, and clinics in Mexico, Angola, and Guatemala.
