About Gerond Lake-Bakaar, MD
Dr. Lake-Bakaar is a board certified transplant hepatologist. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease. Dr. Lake-Bakaar received his medical degree from King's College Hospital Medical School in London, England and completed his residency at King's College Hospital and The London Hospital. His fellowship training was under Dame Sheila Sherlock at The Royal Free Hospital in London, England. He was also Berson Fellow with Rosalyn Yalow, co-winner of the 1977 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
Dr. Lake-Bakaar has esteemed medical background and training, most recently serving as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has been involved in various research and clinical trials to improve the field of transplant hepatology, and his most recent book Alcohol and the Liver was published by Nova Science Publishers.
