About John Roberts, MD

John M. Roberts Jr., M.D., practices comprehensive ophthalmology. He specializes in customized cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, and laser assisted procedures. Dr. Roberts graduated from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine where he earned his degree of medicine in 2008. He performed his internship at Resurrection Medical Center finishing in 2009, he was recognized by the hospital staff and patients with Resident of the Quarter award for providing outstanding patient care. Following this he completed his training in ophthalmology from Stroger Hospital of Cook County in 2012. Dr. Roberts has been recognized for his commitment to improving the field of ophthalmology through medical research with the Resident Project of the Year award. He has an extensive background in medical research having earned a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences and presented research at numerous national meetings.A Colorado native, Dr. Roberts enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, golfing, and spending time in the mountains with the family. Dr. Roberts enjoys the art of smoking meats and desires a second career as a professional hockey player.
