About Kate Grimsrud, MD

Kate Grimsrud, MD, believes that her patients always come first and considers herself privileged to be a part of helping them in their illness or disease process. Dr. Grimsrud is committed to providing outstanding, quality care that is contingent on compassion and partnership and in placing her patients’ goals and well-being at the center of the patient-physician relationship. In addition to seeing patients with a variety of neurological conditions, Dr. Grimsrud’s special interests include treatment of stroke, headache and autonomic disorders. She also provides OnabotulinumtoxinA injections for chronic migraine, nerve blocks for headache and trigger point injections.

Dr. Grimsrud completed both a residency and internship program in neurology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona and earned her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She underwent additional training in the headache medicine fellowship program at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. She holds certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

When not treating patients, Dr. Grimsrud enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, being outdoors and game nights with friends. She also enjoys creating neurology infographics to promote education and advocacy.
